Katarina Kochetova Quartet is a dynamic jazz quartet featuring Katarina Kochetova on piano, Ben Tiberio on double bass, Nikolaus “Nik” Holler on alto saxophone, and Matheus Jardim on drums. After following each other’s work and musical path on social media, as well as through mutual colleague musicians, Ben and Katarina decided to make their debut concert in Vienna (AT) in late 2022. After that, they have continued the collaboration and played many concerts and festivals together in different formations.

The first concert they played was featuring Matheus on drums, whose musicality fit perfectly from the first note. Matheus has played with Katarina for many years now and takes part in one of their most successful bands called KKDM. The musical connection between the two was also heard many times on stage together with a unique saxophone player Nikolaus Holler in his several projects including Niklouds Interdimensional Caucus.

This quartet’s repertoire varies from playing jazz standards in their own arrangements to original compositions written by Katarina,Ben and Nikolaus in the style best described as “sound influenced by the modern New York jazz”.
